WELCOME TO ANACORTES TRAWLER FEST 2011!

Anacortes is thrilled to be able to host Trawler Fest for the fourth year!

Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes is hosting Trawler Fest, a combination boat show, rendezvous and educational offering expected to draw about 2,500 trawler enthusiasts from around the United States and countries as far away as Europe. About 70 new and used boats will be on display, ranging in price from about $60,000 up to $4 million.

Many familiar brands will be represented, such as Ranger Tugs, Nordhaven, Grand Banks and Kadey-Krogen, among others. The new Maine Cat P-47 will make its debut at the show, and other notable boats include a new Camano 31.

“There’s something for everybody,” said Will Carlsen, exhibitor sales director. “We really have boats that fit anybody’s budget.”

Passage Maker University” will offer all-day seminars on diesel engine maintenance, boat handling for women, boat systems and couples cruising. Most spots are already filled, which Carlsen sees as a sign that boaters have weathered the recession and are ready to get out on the water again.
